Directions

 
   

The directions to Bray Parish are split into two sections, a set of local directions, a set of directions if approaching from the North.

Local directions

Christ Church and the Rectory are located on Church Road and can be approached via either the Killarney Road or the Vevay Road. The 145 bus from the DART station has a stop just before the traffic lights at Church Road.

Driving

Via Belfast: Follow road signs for Dublin, you should eventually reach Dublin airport.
Take the M1 into Dublin and head for the city centre, this is a straight run, you will end up on the Drumcondra Road.
When you get to Gardener Street cross roads, turn left at the traffic lights. Keep going straight for about 2 miles and you will arrive at a junction with traffic lights just past a railway bridge. This leads into a one way system, keep towards the right hand side of the road where government buildings is. You will come to another set of traffic lights, try and get into the left hand lane on the bridge over the Liffey turn left and follow the signs for N11 (Dún Laoghaire).

You turn right and go straight for about a mile passing Pearse Street DART station and arriving at a set of traffic lights. There is a dog leg going left then right past the Davenport Hotel. Stay in the left hand lane and turn left at the traffic light. Follow signs for N11 Dún Laoghaire.

After Dún Laoghaire the signs will show Blackrock and Wexford as destinations. When you get near to Bray it will appear on the road signs. At the Loughlinstown roundabout, which is about 10 miles from Dublin, take the motorway. Take the first exit for Bray and head for the town centre, this is a straight run that passes SuperQuinn and crosses the river Dargle approaching Royal Hotel and Main Street. Public transport

Train: Take the Enterprise from Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly. When you get off the train go to ticket desk and ask for a DART ticket to Bray. Southbound DARTs leave from platform 5. The journey takes 45 minutes to 1 hour and a bit depending on whether it is off-peak or rush hour.

Bus: Take the bus to Dublin, it arrives at Bus Aras, the easiest way to Bray is by DART, Connolly is the nearest station. Turn left, then left again and you will see an iron globe on fire, this is in front of the Irish Financial Services Centre building, head towards this then turn left up Amiens Street, you can see Connolly station ahead of you, get your DART ticket there and head towards platform 5.
